Patience in Tribulation

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭12‬ ESV

I have read this verse probably hundreds of times but I read it today and it made me stop and think. It just seems to fit my life lately. My hope is in Jesus and I do my best to rejoice in that, but day to day life and problems can get in the way and take your focus off of Him. Praying for the same thing over and over and feeling like God isn’t listening to you can be hard. Patience isn’t my strong suit. But there is one thing to remember…

God always answers prayers, it just isn’t always what you want. Just as you may tell your children no, Our Father will tell us no. It can be frustrating to pray and pray about something and feel like your not getting anywhere. That doesn’t mean that God isn’t working. He is always working for the good for those that believe in him. Sometimes the answer to that prayer may take days, months, years and sometimes…never. That doesn’t mean that God isn’t listening to you. Maybe what you are praying for really isn’t good for you or the for the plan that God has for you.

So remember that no matter what trial you are going through or what problem you may have, God is bigger. He has a plan for you. Never stop talking to him. Keep praying. When you feel like you have prayed the same prayer a thousand times…keep praying. God is faithful. God is trustworthy. God loves you!! Put your hope in Him. That is definitely something to rejoice in!!
